Review | Lush Mask Of Magnaminty
Description taken from Lush :
"Mask of Magnaminty isn’t technically a daily ‘facial wash’; it’s actually a deep cleansing face and back mask. China clay and fresh peppermint reach deep down to pull the debris from your pores, giving you that delightful tingly-clean sensation..."
Ramblings :
I've always wanted to try Lush's products but I never really get to going to the store at Wisma and checking the products out. Because firstly, it's honestly quite intimidating when you first step into the store looking at all the unfamiliar labels staring back at you. And secondly, I was skeptical (like always) when it comes to trying a new brand for my sensitive skin.
So what I'll recommend is, do your research. Read up about the products, check their reviews out on the Internet (e.g. www.makeupalley.com) or Youtube. There's bound to be mixed reviews about any one product. Most importantly, use your better judgement on your skin condition and knowledge on the type of product you wish to buy, take a chance and try it.
The reason why I bought it was because I saw Claire Marshall, a vlogger on Youtube (she's awesome) and she was raving about this mask on one of her favorites video. I trusted her thoughts on it mainly because she's asian too, so that's an identifier. (i'm asian too :P) So I guess if it suits her, it might work for me as well!
Review:
First, based on the description above...
1. Deep Cleansing Mask - CHECKED
2. Tingly-clean Sensation - CHECKED
I've used the mask for 3 months now and I'm loving it. I use this once every two days because I put on makeup frequently and my skin needed some loving once in a while to keep it fresh and free of impurities.
It really does deep cleanse your pores.
These days I like to apply the mask when I first got off from bed. Cleanse my face with a little facial foam. Dry it. Apply the mask. Wait for 10 minutes. Head to shower.
This way, my skin feels really refreshed right from the start of the day and eventually I'd feel good throughout the entire day with my skin.
Bare In Mind that teeny pimples might surface for the first few times when you apply it. I find this pretty normal, considering the fact that it is a cleansing mask and impurities are bound to resurface. There's nothing a little benzoyl perozide can't treat though.
My skin has gotten a lot better with frequent use of the mask. My skin looks brighter and healthier now. Acne and pimples don't visit me much now. (thank god)
